1. Rub butter into flour unitl mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
2. Add egg and form a dough, adding a little milk if too dry.
3. Separate into golf ball size balls
1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan (that will hold all the balls in one layer)
2. Bring to the boil.
3. Add batter balls, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until ball are cooked through.
4. Serve with syrup and custard.
