Directions
Beat eggs 1 minute. Mix b. soda into milk, pour into beaten eggs, beat 1 minute. Sift dry ingredients and add to first mixture slowly. Add melted butter and mix well. Let stand 4 hours. Roll on floured board 1/4 " thick. Cut into strips 4x2", slit in middle. Pull dough through slit to make a little bow. Deep fry until golden brown. When done, take out and drain on rack with paper towels. After draining grebbles, I like to frost them in maple-flavored glaze.
Glaze: Powdered sugar (I usually start w/2 c. p.sugar), little milk, pinch salt, maple flavor, stir until smooth and thin enough to dip grebbles and drain on rack. Delicious!!
