Fresh Apple Cake

Easy,Wonderful,Moist cake made with Fresh apples!Simple ingredients, if you have apples other ingredients are usually on hand.

Ingredients

4 cups sliced apples ...(I like to use MacIntosh)
2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs - beaten
3/4 cup oil -or- 3/4 cup applesauce
3 tsp. vanilla
1 cup of walnuts chopped -or- 1/2 cup nuts & 1/2 cup raisins

Directions

Sprinkle sugar over apples, combine dry ingredients and add to apples and sugar,blend lightly.
Add remining ingredients and stir until well blended,trying not to break apples too much ... a wooden spoon works best ...
Spoon into a greased 13X9 pan
Bake at 350* for 45 to 50 min. ENJOY!
