Similar to pumpkin bread or zucchini bread, but with pears.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 T. cinnamon
3/4 cup canola oil
3 eggs (or equivalent egg substitute)
2 cups shredded pears (4-5 pears I use food processor--can use canned)
1 cup chopped pecans
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 6 oz pkg. Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels
2 cups sugar

In a large mixing bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Make a well in the center of the mixture. In a smaller bowl, combine the next six ingredients. Mix well. Pour into the well in the center of the mixture in the large bowl. Stir until moistened, adding the chocolate chips. Spoon batter into two preased and floured loaf pans. Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for one hour and 15 min. Cool on a wire rack before removing from pans. Enjoy! It is good hot or cold!

Not a NESTLÉ®-tested recipe.
