Soups are a great accompaniment to any meal and makes for a satisfying experience. Delight your taste buds with this Easy Creamy Tomato Soup made with only five simple ingredients. The baking soda assists in keeping the soup from white speckling.


  • 2 cans (8 oz. each) reduced-sodium tomato sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 can (12 fl. oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Lowfat 2% Milk
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil, finely chopped


HEAT tomato sauce and baking soda in medium saucepan over medium heat until very hot. Stir in evaporated milk, heating until soup is hot and steamy. Do not boil. Remove from heat. Season to taste with black pepper. Garnish with basil.

Tip: Consider doubling the recipe and freezing half for another time.
