Description

Peanut Butterscotch Drops are fun for kids to make and are no-bake, too!

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups (11-oz pkg) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 5 1/2 cups corn flake cereal

Directions

LINE baking sheets with waxed paper.

PLACE morsels in large, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; STIR. The morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10 to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Add corn flakes; stir until coated.

DROP by rounded teaspoon onto prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until firm. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Kids will love scooping and dropping the dough onto lined sheets. Don't be too finicky about finished shapes. Let the kids be creative!

A great recipe for everyone to try, the kids loved to make them. You would have thought that they had struck gold with this recipe. Of course, they had to share with everyone. They really got a lot of compliments and were so pleased.

I forgot I had to make a snack for my daughters preschool tomorrow, so the simplicity of these came in handy. I used Rice Crispies instead of corn flakes, but they turned out awesome.. I also drizzled them with chocolate and added some candy hearts to give them the Valentine Flare.

Try them with Chocolate Chips too!

by A. Andrea , Denver, CO on Sep. 2003

I made this this morning again for my soccer team, and tried half a batch with semi-sweet chips instead of the butterscotch and they LOVED them! I think they need more peanut butter though, so I'm going to try the next batch with peanut butter / milk chocolate chips and peanut butter.

These are the easiest cookies I've ever made. I brought them to my company holiday potluck and everyone wanted the recipe - no one could believe how easy they were! They'll be a definite repeat next year! :)
