Description

If you love coconut, these Macaroon Brownie Bars are for you.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (16 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Mini Brownie Bites Bar Dough
  • 2 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 can (14 oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

PLACE whole bar of dough in prepared pan. Allow to soften for 5 to 10 minutes. Using fingertips, pat dough gently to fill pan.

BAKE for 15 minutes; remove from oven.

COMBINE coconut and sweetened condensed milk in medium bowl. Spread over brownies. Sprinkle with morsels; press down slightly.

BAKE an additional 15 to 17 minutes or until topping is set and golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

I made these using a box mix (cake-style method) and baked 20 minutes then poured on the topping and baked an additional 18 minutes. The brownie was moist & the topping gooey & sweet. I made them for an office party & only the plate was left! Comments were to bring more next time! Easy recipe that looks like it took all day and gets great reviews. I'll make these again.

These are very rich but they are great! I made them with milk chocolate chips and everyone just loved them. the whole batch was gone before i knew it. They are so easy to make and such a treat for coconut lovers!

These remind me of Hello Dolly Bars. They are very sweet but worth it. Anyone who likes chocolate and coconut will love these.

I made this recipe using a low fat boxed recipe and they turned out wonderfully! It's amazing how moist they ar and how easy they are to make! I've already given out the recipe to several people who tried them.

Made these for the people I work with, they loved them! They are really rich so make sure you have milk on hand. I was also shocked at how sticky they were after baking. I'd make it again but cut down on the milk.
