Blizzard Party Mix is a terrific snack for parties, game time or any occasion you need a treat.

  • 2 cups oven-toasted cereal squares
  • 2 cups small pretzel twists
  • 1 cup dry-roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup (about 20) coarsely chopped caramels
  • 2 cups (12-ounce package) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels

SPRAY 13 x 9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

COMBINE cereal, pretzels, peanuts and caramels in large bowl.

MICROWAVE morsels in medium, uncovered microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Pour over cereal mixture; stir to coat evenly.

SPREAD mixture into prepared baking pan; let stand for 20 to 30 minutes or until firm. Break into bite-size pieces.

Match Your Team Colors!

by G. GWEN , CHICAGO, IL on Jan. 2008

We make this often to watch sporting events. Use candy coated chocolates to match your team's colors for your Super Bowl party! Delicious and festive at the same time!

This is not only a great snack but also very easy to make. Sometimes I add raisins or dried cherries. Everyone just loves it.

Great Treat

This snack was great. I make it and put it in little bags and tie with ribbons and put it as "little gifts" for my sons teachers. It is also good if you add candy coated chocolates to it.

Make it chocolate

by J. Julie , Redwood City, CA on Jul. 2006

This is a very good snack recipe for when we have friends over and are sitting around having a cocktail and snacks. But, I made two batches, one with white morsels and one with semisweet chocolate morsels. Many prefer the white because it is sweeter, but most prefer the chocolate.

Made it red, white, & blue

by J. Jan , BLYTHEVILLE, AR on Jun. 2006

This is our last day until after 4th of July, so we brought in "snackies". I brought this, only I divided the melted white morsels into 1/3's and used red food coloring in one, blue food coloring in another, and left one alone. Everyone enjoyed the "red, White, & Blue Party Mix"

This is a delicious snack food; I could make a meal out of it. The only problem I had was melting the morsels in the microwave. I ended up adding some melted shortening in order to make a more fluid mixture to pour over the other ingredients.

Big Hit

by S. SUE , LEXINGTON, KY on Jan. 2006

This snack is a huge hit with my Bunco group. Grandkids love it too so it is an all around favorite to have on hand.
