I guess I thought this was going to be more like a pie, but this was good. I ended up bringing the "bars" to work instead of taking the "pie" to our church dinner! Still Delicious however you slice it!

I made this for a picnic a few weeks ago and it was great. None left to bring home. Also the house smell wonderful while it was baking. I definitely will be making this again. Will make a great dessert in the winter time too.

Apples, Cinnamon, Pecans and a Blizzard

by E. Eileen , EDISON, NJ on Jan. 2005

We were in the middle of the Blizzard of 2005--my family was digging us out. They needed a warm treat when they came in from the cold. The smell of apples, cinnamon and pecans baking in my kitchen made for an ideal setting for staying in on a cold winter's night. This recipe hit the spot when served with hot cocoa in front of a crackling fire. Thank you.

very tasty

My son-in-law gave me a sack full of apples and said use them for what you want. I came to verybestbaking and found this recipe. The whole house smelled of apples and cinnamon. And the cake was excellent.
