Deluxe Halloween Mud Bars
by B. Belinda , Saint John on Nov. 2009
I just wanted to let you know that this recipe was amazing. I gave them out to the kids that my daughter babysits, she has 4 or 5 that she sits with regularly, so we gave each one a treat bag with 3 or 4 squares in it. The kids loved them, they were a real big hit.

These mud bars are terrific and can be adapted to other seasons by using other types of candy on the top.
Excellent fall homebaked "candy" bars
by E. Eileen , Newcastle, WA on Oct. 2009
This has been my fall back Halloween party treat for the past several years! People just love them. They are a bit on the very sweet side, but they are moist, dense and delicious. In fact, adults tend to pick off the candy corn, because they are too sweet. Not a dry cookie bar at all.

What a great recipe. The candy corn is super cute and my Dad's fave candy to boot.
