Melting chocolate is the only cooking you'll do for this smooth and creamy chocolate pie. A great holiday pie without the hassle!

  • 1 8-inch (6 oz.) prepared chocolate crumb crust
  • 1 3/4 cups (11.5-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Milk Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • Sweetened whipped cream (optional)
  • 2 oz. NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Bar, made into curls *
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

MICROWAVE morsels in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH power for 1 minute; STIR. The morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until melted. Cool to room temperature.

BEAT melted chocolate, cream cheese and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until light in color. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm. Top with sweetened whipped cream, chocolate curls and nuts.

Carefully draw a vegetable peeler across edge of a bar of NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate.

In my family I am the go to person for yummy desserts since I love to bake. I am always looking for something simple, yet delicious. This pie looks and tastes like a winner and I am going to surprise my family this Thanksgiving with one of these! Of course I made it beforehand so my kids could sample it at home. They gobbled it all up!

I made this for my grown son's birthday. I piped whipped topping on the top and used raspberries as garnish and chocolate curls. It was very pretty and tasted as good as it looked. A very easy and yummy recipe to make. i will make this recipe again.

This was very easy to make and tasted amazing. It was not too sweet (and I was afraid it would be by using a whole bag of chocolate chips). It really tasted like a light mousse!

Family Favorite

This pie is easy to make. I usually make one every Thanksgiving to bring to my brother's house for one of the desserts. Well, my brother tells me I'm making the chocolate velvet pie. Normally there are a few desserts put out to choose from. For some reason, my brother forgets to put the chocolate velvet pie out to share with the family. Someone always asks if I brought my famous velvet pie this year and my brother quickly says, "No she forgot it". The pie is rich, creamy and full of flavor. It tastes like no other pie you have had. It is similar to a light airy cheesecake.

Very Best Velvet Pie

An easily prepared yet elegant dessert. Delicious, I think best served at room temperature with sweetened, freshly whipped cream. I'm going to try it using semi-sweet chocolate morsels. This is sure join the rank of favorite recipes in my book!

Ever since the first time I made this pie I've had to make at least one for each holiday. It's one of the most indulgent pies I've ever had! You definitely want to have some milk on hand though. This is a very rich dessert! Also, make sure to whip the cream nice and thick before you mix it into the pie. If it's too thin the pie won't come out quite as firm.
