Cinnamon, apples and raisins combine for a sweet and rich bread pudding. It's a great use for leftover bread and a cozy alternative for dessert.

Tried this recipe with gluten free bread and brought it to my celiac support group meeting. I came home with an empty dish and a promise to make it again. Even with gluten free bread this recipe is a winner.

Saw the recipe and had to try it. My mom used to make similar to this but with almonds and other nuts. So went ahead made with the additions for a family brunch and everyone raved about it. This will be a new addition to the brunches in the future.

This recipe is very easy and quite delicious! The apples add a different complexity to the rest of the ingredients. I've already made it twice in as many days and will certainly make it again.

Made this last night and I was so pleased with the results. I used 1/3 cup half & half and the remainder whole milk since that is what I had available and I thought it would make it 'richer'. It came out far better than I anticipated especially since it took practically no time whatsoever!

Simple and Tasty

My son loves bread pudding so I am always looking for twists on the traditional recipe. This one was simple to make and obviously he liked it because I came home from work to find an empty pan sitting on the counter. I did make one change - my only available raisins were rather dry and hard so I softened them up by soaking in whiskey - you could use rum or brandy too. It added a nice touch to the flavor.
The perfect dessert for a sunny day. Fresh strawberries are kept shiny with a fruit-sweetened glaze.
