Description

Elegant white swirls decorate these rich Swirl of Chocolate Cheesecake Triangle bars. They're great for picnics or birthday parties -- easy to handle and no implements needed!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (12 fl. oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (6 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 325° F.

COMBINE graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar in medium bowl; press onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

BEAT cream cheese, sugar and flour in large mixer bowl until smooth. Gradually beat in evaporated milk, eggs and vanilla extract.

MICROWAVE morsels in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Stir 1 cup cream cheese mixture into chocolate. Pour remaining cream cheese mixture over crust. Pour chocolate mixture over cream cheese mixture. Swirl mixtures with spoon, pulling plain cream cheese mixture up to surface.

BAKE for 40 to 45 minutes or until set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack; refrigerate until firm. Cut into 15 rectangles; cut each rectangle in half diagonally to form triangles.

I made these and they came out beautifully but I have to leave them in the refrigerator until I was ready to serve them because they became soft with the heat. I would try making them again and see if the results would be different. Thanks for the recipe it was great.

Made this cheescake for the first time and took it to some friends, garnished with chocolate covered strawberries. Rave reviews, everyone loved it, not a crumb left. Next time I might substitute the chocolate with bittersweet and have a rasberry sauce with whipping cream for a garnish. It would make a beautiful presentation.

Okay, I admit I wasn't going to make brownies for a party we were giving because everyone brings them. I kept being drawn to these and I caved. Needless to say, VBB has given me another hit. These brownies were sinfully moist and definitely decedent. Everyone wanted the recipe and I told them to go you guys. I'm hoping they followed my advice.

I don't usually like cheesecake, and I don't usually like chocolate - but this was wonderful! It was easy, it looks nice, and I made it the day before without any problems! When I was cutting the squares, I found it much easier to use a very sharp knife warmed under water. If you're a lover of dark chocolate, this would probably taste wonderful substituted for the semisweet. Two thumbs way way up!
