Description

These Hot Fudge Fantasy Tarts are a chocolate fudge delight with a surprise filling in the center! A fun dessert to make and enjoy with kids.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1/2 cup butter (we recommend Land O Lakes®)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 30 (1 1/2-inch) paper candy liners
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels
  • 1 can (14 oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup (6 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 375° F. Grease or paper-line miniature muffin pans.

MICROWAVE first addition of morsels and butter in medium, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH power; stir. Microwave at additional 10 to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Cool for 10 minutes.

ADD sugar, eggs and vanilla to melted chocolate; stir well. Gradually stir in flour until smooth. Spoon into prepared pans, filling half full.

BAKE for 12 to 14 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Immediately press one of the desired fillings (3 miniature marshmallows, 1 maraschino cherry, 5 morsels or 2 mint quarters) into center of each tart.

BAKE for additional 2 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack for 5 minutes.

COMBINE sweetened condensed milk and remaining 1 cup morsels in a small saucepan; cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until smooth. Top each tart with about 1 teaspoon mixture. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Store in airtight container for up to 3 days.

Made for Thanksgiving were a big hit. Filling possibilities are endless. Raspberry jam and peanut butter cup were two fillings my family scored high.

HOT FUDGE FANTASY TARTS

YESTERDAY I HAD A SWEET TOOTH ATTACK, SO DECIDED TO TRY THESE. IT WAS A PRETTY GOOD RECIPE, NOT GREAT, BUT, GOOD. I ATE A COUPLE, THEN PUT THE REST INTO THE FREEZER FOR ANOTHER DAY. SOME I PUT MARASCHINO CHERRIES IN THE CENTER, SOME I ADDED BUTTERSCOTCH MORSELS,(DIDN'T HAVE ANY WHITE MORSELS) AND SOME HAD MARSHMALLOWS.

fantastic little treat

I made this recipe for a tea party and it was a big hit! I used a dry cherry in the center though...came out beautifully. Also extremely easy to make.

We made these little treats and shared them with guests that same night. They were a big hit with everyone in the house! Not too hard to make either.

Good, but too chocolate for my taste. I cannot take large amounts of chocolate, but my daughters think it is great.

Someone complained about incomplete directions. No so, it tells to stir in flour to the chocolate mix. Very good for chocoholics like me!!
