  • 2/3 cup (5 fl.-oz. can) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts, optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

LINE 8-inch-square baking pan with foil.

COMBINE sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

My Family really loves this...

This is a easy recipe for my kids to make, and they rally enjoy the fudge. We don't use chopped peanuts thou. Thanks

Be careful when using peanuts

by S. Susan , Grass Lake, MI on Feb. 2009

I had a can of peanuts in the freezer, so decided to try this recipe. It was not satisfying to me, so I will go back to my old original "Carnation" recipe, which is much better in flavor and texture.

This fudge was fairly easy to make. I enjoy peanuts and I enjoy fudge but I didn't really care for this fudge. I think it was just my personal taste as my family really liked it.

This is the best fudge I have tasted in a long time. Very easy to make. I had to make it twice in one week. I added a 1/2 cup peanut butter and left out the nuts. This is the first fudge recipe I found that I liked.

Absolutely Fabulous!

Very Creamy!

by L. LU , HORSEHEADS, NY on Sep. 2005

Not a fudge lover but this was very good. Not your typical texture, very creamy. I omitted the nuts, that could affect texture. I will make this again and try varations in chip flavors!
