Sometimes the simplest recipes yield the richest results. This glossy combination of chocolate morsels and sweetened condensed milk is even better embellished with vanilla and chopped nuts.

I substituted a milk chocolate peanutbutter chip combination 12-oz. pkg. and the fudge wouldn't harden. I had a BIG mess, rolling it into balls and then into granulated sugar so it could still be eaten. They never did get hard. I called them "Horse Puckey!" and they were tasty. The first batch from orig. recipe were perfect.

Very good fudge but, mine did not firm up. Put in freezer, still fairly soft, ate with a spoon. Any advice pls?

I made this fudge for the county fair. I substituted pistaschios for the chopped walnuts. I was in competition with others who had been doing this for years. Imagine my surprise when I was awarded a blue ribbon.

After the holidays, I make this fudge from the small amounts of chocolate chips left over from other recipes -- combined to make 2 cups. Also, I substitute for the walnuts either whatever leftover nuts I might have (chopped up, mixed is good) or crushed candy canes.
Just like a rich chocolate candy bar!
