My girlfriend used to bake this for the family and always a hit! Now, this is the first time I'm trying to do it myself and seems really easy and delicious, just have to taste it to see how I did this time! :P

I have been making this recipe for a couple of years and to great reviews. It's like eating a cheesecake without the crust!

Only Flan I Like

by T. Tabatha , Miami on Nov. 2010

This is the only flan recipe that I find truly delicious. The cream cheese makes it more like rich cheese cake. I find flan to be too custard-like; this is the only flan I eat (EVER). Yummy!

just great!!!!

Adding a bar of cream cheese really does the trick! For me, flan was always "okay." And my kids were never a big fan of flan either. But I came across this recipe and thought it was worth a try. Boy - Am I ever glad I did! This one is a definite keeper!!! (And I added a bit more sugar for the melting/carmelizing process - My family has a sweet tooth!)

Omigosh...what a great b'day treat!!! Wanted to do something special for my day that was a little different for my cake. It was a great treat. Haven't made a flan before but will definitely pass this on to my daughters and my son.

A rich dessert

by L. Linda , NEVADA CITY, CA on Mar. 2007

I made and served this recipe to guests as a dessert for a Mexican dinner. All loved it. We thought it similar to a cheesecake filling, but the carmelized sugar set it off beautifully. Having never made a flan before, I found this quite simple to prepare.
