I make as similar pie. I mix cheese in the cornbread mix and use leftover chili.

Chili Cornbread Pie

My husband and I loved it! I did double the chili ingredients, which for a few extra dollars made enough to last for a couple days of meals. Very filling! I did not have black beans, so I used light red kidney beans and left out the diced chiles the sake of heartburn--it was wonderful!

This is a great dinner that makes up quick and easy and is a great comfort food. My family loves it, I always double the recipe and put a little cheese on top. I really recommend this.

Quick and Easy

My family likes this chili and I like to make it because it is easy. I usually put the chili ingredients in the crockpot and leave off the cornbread. Then, I make the cornbread separate or serve with tortilla chips.

Pretty good

This was a pretty good and easy casserole. It does have a lot of cornbread on top but it was still good. Much better with sour cream and cheese on it.

I made this last night for dinner. I had leftover chili from earlier in the week and this went together in a snap. Both the kids and my husband thought it was great.
