Description

NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® SWIRLED™ Milk Chocolate & Caramel Morsel Cookies is a twist on the original recipe with a touch of caramel and chopped pecans. These delicious cookies are ready in less than 1 hour.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 2/3 cups (10-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® SWIRLED™ Milk Chocolate & Caramel Morsels, divided
  • 1 cup chopped pecans *

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 350° F.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in 1 cup morsels (set aside remaining morsels) and nuts. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Top dollops with remaining morsels.

BAKE for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies

PAN COOKIE VARIATION:
Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as above, stirring in 1 cup morsels. Spread into prepared pan. Sprinkle with remaining morsels. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack. Makes 4 dozen bars

* NOTE: If omitting nuts, add 1 to 2 Tbsp. of all-purpose flour.

I first used this recipe last Thanksgiving and took the cookies to my husbands family dinner. The cookies were devoured!! Everyone loves them! People always ask me where I got the recipe, and I just say "On the bag. Nestle sure knows what they're doing!"

These were delicious, good, and easy. Quick and easy is a must for me. I will definitely make again. I substituted walnuts for the pecans as I didn't have the pecans. I don't know if it is my oven but I only had to bake for 8 minutes as 11 minutes was too long.

Excellent cookies. I had started to make the cookies before I realized that I was out of swirled chips, I used half white choc morsels and half choc. chunk chips The results were super, we couldn't get enough of them. Next time I'll make sure that I have what I need before starting to bake. I'm sure Nestles way is also fantastic. Keep the dessert recipes coming, we love them all.

This recipe combines my two greatest loves....milk chocolate and caramel. My kids absolutely love it and my college student daughter has made them twice and she doesn't bake or cook. I told her if she wanted them she'd have to make them, I'm no longer giving them away!
