I love this recipe. I make it now every night now for the next early morning. Here is a little tip: to keep the film from forming on the top put saran wrap directly on top of the cocoa. It really works.

It's a great recipe using Splenda, I was unsure how to omit sugar and still have the fine Nestle' hot cocoa. This is quite delightful

This is real good, I also put 1 tsp cocoa in coffee with diet sugar, taste to your choice. I get tired of same old coffee, so I play with different flavors to put into my coffee, some are good & some well you know? also put a little cinnamon in to too.

Ingredient Substitution

I like using heavy cream or half and half to make my cocoa richer. Sometimes it's a matter of practice, but in this case using half milk and half cream or half and half is much better. It is calorically higher, but well worth it. Just make sure to stir well and not let it boil so you don't end up with the "skin" on the surface. Enjoy!

I made the verison using Splenda No Calorie sweetener and it turned out as rich as a recipe using sugar. I also add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to each cup.
