I made these cookies for our July 4th celebration and they went so quickly that I had to make a second batch. This recipe can be made very quickly and I had the help of my grandson and niece. I baked the cookies, prepared the fruit and cream cheese the night before. Then had the kids help me decorate them on the 4th. We had just a few left of the second batch that I put into the refrigerator and found them the next morning to be a little soft. Suggest that they all be eaten the same day or decorate as needed. The kids and adults really loved this recipe.

These were so good! They have to be eaten the same day they are made, though.

Not only are these yummy, but they are really festive!
Chocolate cake mix, evaporated milk and caramels make these the most moist and tender brownies this side of paradise. Add chocolate chips and chopped nuts and you'll think you've already arrived!
A finalist in the 2000 Share The Very Best Recipe Contest, this recipe was entered by Alma Carey of Sarasota, FL. Made with a genuine love of chocolate, this decadent brownie features vanilla-flavored white and semi-sweet chocolate morsels, chopped pecans and caramel layered within a rich cocoa batter.
Sometimes the simplest recipes yield the richest results. This glossy combination of chocolate morsels and sweetened condensed milk is even better embellished with vanilla and chopped nuts.
