"Cakey" Chocolate Decadence Bars

Description

"Cakey" Chocolate Decadence Bars have chocolate in every bite and are perfect bars for your chocoholic Valentine.

Ingredients

  • 30 NESTLÉ BUTTERFINGER Hearts, unwrapped
  • NESTLÉ Milk Chocolate Hearts
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

COMBINE flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in large bowl.

BEAT granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until combined. Beat in eggs. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in Nestlé Hearts. Press into 9-inch-square baking pan.

BAKE for 18 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

This was easy to make and sooo good tasting.I make these for my sister she love chocolate.Went she bit into it she said that it was Incredible good.She taken the rest home with her and the recipe.Idefinatey will be making this again.

This brownie is nice and moist, but the mix is very thick. But it is worth it if you melt some chocolate chips on it as soon as it comes out of the oven.These go great warm with a scoop of ice cream!!

I made these using the Extra Creamy chocolate hearts instead of the butterfinger hearts for valentines day and they were delicious! Everyone loved them and I had to make five more batches because so many people wanted some more after trying them.

Since these disappeared in 2 days, give them 5 stars! I used coarsley chopped Butterfinger bars instead of the hearts. They were great and I will make them again.

I used the Nestle dark chocolate Jingles, and added the zest of 1 orange to the batter, and cooked them at 350F. for 18 minutes. These were very rich, and we felt they would have been better if the bells had been cut in smaller pieces, and more evenly dispersed throughout the batter.
