I tweaked a few things in the recipe, like switching the chicken broth for cream of potato, and putting carrots in the place of the peppers, but altogether the recipe was great and a hit with the potato-loving husband! Thanks

I have made this a couple of times, it is very good and easy to make, although the second time, I did not add the tomatoes, instead I added diced ham and also a shredded carrot while cooking the potatoes.

The soup is great while sitting by the fireplace. It's good taste warms up the insides while the fire warms up the rest of you. I like it better with out the peppers, but it is still great soup.

An excellent recipe as the weather turns cool/cold. It would even be good on a warmer day if you're a soup eater.
