This recipe cannot be done in a flash. But the pleasure of tasting the delicious and rich taste makes this gelatine a standout among gelatine recipes. I used Maria's galletas (cookies) and I would use less walnuts and finely chopped too. I even think the chocolate layer is heavenly without any walnuts at all! I think you should finely crush the cookies also. The recipe never says how finely to crush.I prefer making my gelatins in rectangular bar pans. You can reverse the order listed so that your top matches the top of this recipe. Plan on a minimum 6 hours total or more time to set. Make it early in the day so you have it for your dinner. Add easy listening music and some candles and you have a delightfully special dessert for your evening.

This dessert, although a little time consuming, truly is worth it! I make it every chance that I get and always receive great compliments. The layers can look amazing if using the right mold. And the taste will surprise your taste buds.

This seems like a very nice variation on the traditional panna cotta - Italian eggless custard. I love cinnamon and the wafers add a texture to an otherwise bland dessert.
This spectacular pie combines the "traditional" pecan pie with a distinctive chocolate flavor. What a wonderful way to complete a special meal.
