When I was reading a recipe, I noticed a very different Sweet Potatoe Pie that was made with buttermilk, I never tried making a sweet potatoe pie with buttermilk, but I will for one of our Sunday dinner's. It brought back to mind when my mother and I would make pies, cakes, and tea cakes. One of the greatest joys of logging on is this site bring back so many memories of my mother and I celebrating our family. My mother celebrated everyday, thanks for this site.

I just recently shared exactly that sentiment. It is so true how other contributor's memories trigger so many of my own that I have started a lttle journal of my memories. I want it for my soon to be born twin grandchildren (a boy and a girl). They will be our first and we are beyond thrilled!
