Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

My son graduated college in May. We live in Maryland. He got offered a job in Wisconsin and moved there in June. He loves my pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and I wanted to bake some and ship them to him for his birthday. Much to my dismay, there was a canned pumpkin shortage. I almost paid a fortune for a can on Ebay. Before I did that, I sent out an email to my entire office asking for everyone to check their pantries for canned pumpkin. Lo and behold two cans appeared on my desk the next day. I made the cookies and shipped them off to Wisconsin for my son's birthday.

That was very nice of them to contribute the cans of pumpkin. I'm sure they reciprocated for all your kindness to them. I'm sure your son appreciated and enjoyed the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!

Great story and your son is lucky to have you for a Mom. You should also send him the recipe and see if he can make cookies that taste as good as yours.

Libby's Pumpkin should be in stores around the US now! Heavy rains last year kept production low in 2009 but 2010 harvesting started early and is still going strong!
