Every holiday my Mom would bake sugar cookies for the kid's and grandchildren. For her grandchildren she use to make cookies for the holidays and take the time to decorate the cookies with detail. Mom would make enough cookie's so that the grand children could brng them to school, for the holiday parties at school. Well Mom died in 2005 so now I make the cookies for the family even for their school parties, and everytime I hear from my family just like mawmaw's or mom's I know I am keeping her memory alive. By keeping her memory alive Mom is with us each and evry holiday!!

I'm not particularly close to my mom and she isn't a good baker by all means. I however craved that sort of thing. I hope my girls and I will have little traditions like that. I'm so happy some adores cooking and baking like I do! You certainly have some beautiful creations. Keep the pictures coming some of these have given me ideas!

It is an honor to your Mom's memory that you carry on her tradition.  And I am sure all the kids & adults too appreciate every bite!

Wonderful story Ramona.  Family traditions are so very important.  When kids go out on their own, hopefully they will carry on the traditions learned at home.
