My 4 year old niece and I were going to bake some "pumpkin cookies". She helped me mix the dough, add the chocolate chips, scoop out the dough onto the cookie sheets and pop them into the oven. 15 minutes later when the buzzer rang on the oven we hurried over to take the cookies out. They were beautiful orange and golden around the bottom edges. I put the cookie sheets on the racks to cool and said "aren't these the best pumpkin cookies ever?" My little niece looked up at me and said "I guess so, but they don't look anything like a pumpkin to me!"

I never had children and, so, no grandchildren, but I get the stories from co-workers.  She had her 4 3/4 year old granddaughter over and they made cupcakes and the icing had sprinkles.  The little girl would eat some of the sprinkles and before long she had sprinkles on her hands and arms.  The cupcakes that she helped make went home with her, the rest had sprinkles (from the cake mix) in the cupcake and pink icing but no sprinkles on the top.
