Our grandson, age 3, loves to watch "Food Network" shows and already has his own chef hat and apron. Last month we made our first homemade cake together, from scratch, with, of course, a recipe from "Very Best Baking." And, oh yes, a lot of love and a LOT of patience. It took twice as long to prepare, and we made the kitchen twice as messy, but, you know what? I wouldn't trade that time and mess with a visit from the Queen of England! I have a memory that makes me smile every time I think of it, every time that I look at this photo. I lovingly call my grandson Davis "my little peanut," and imagine our laughter when he was asked what his middle name is, and he replied, "Peanut." I hope we will prepare many more recipes together as he grows up, because I know he won't be my little peanut for long!
