I was trying to surprise my granddaughters with frest baked chocolate chip cookies. As always their little noses knew before they came out of the oven! As I took them off the tray to cool--oops all go

GRANA  here;
When our sons were preteens, hubby &  I both craved   onion rings NO!Yell said our onion hating boys"WE hate onions"!!;  I thickly liced a bunch of sweet onions battered & fried themthem After draning them on brown paper bags I piled hem up high on a Big platterr & put them on the table.By the  time got to the table; the platter was empty & our sons  were begging/demanding more! Dad was apolgetic , he couldn'tstop them or himself they were that good!!!!!!!!!! our sons still lke onion rings(30 years later) but I no onger nger spend hours making them  only to not get any to eat  myself I buy the thick sliced beer battered rings friom Nathan's (green bag) or I send our sons tob uy them at the nearest takeout place ; pretty good  but too expensive Money mouth to get enough to feed  6 grand kids &  6 adults  who all love onion ringsYell

How can anyone "hide" something baking?  That is one of the best things about baking.
My Grandson can tell I have been baking when he comes in after school, even if everything is out of the oven, cooled, put away and the utensils are cleaned and put away his nose knows.
