I was trying to surprise my granddaughters with frest baked chocolate chip cookies. As always their little noses knew before they came out of the oven! As I took them off the tray to cool--oops all go

I agree - fresh out of the oven cookies smell divine. However I like to eat them best right from the freezer!

A funny candy story, our son and daughter-in-law have several international students living with them.  One young man from Guatemala wanted to make candy to share with friends at school.  He, another Guatemalan friend, a Korean young man and an American were interpreting a recipe.  Somehow they ended up using 6 cans of sweetened condensed milk and who knows how much else, thinking they'd end up with 84 pieces of candy.  At last report, it was 9:30 at night and there appeared to be enough candy to open their own shop for a day.  It's all in the interpretation!  Haven't heard the final outcome but from the pictures at 9:30 at night, there was candy, candy, candy.  Our daughter-in-law said there was so much laughing coming from the kitchen, she didn't have the heart to interfer!

That happens every time I bake cookies when my kids are home. Those cookies are gone before I know it.
