my name is Brian Robinson my dad owned a donut shop in charlestown massachusetts for 48 years i worked there he made the best donuts and muffins and i once held a patent for one of these donuts i cant give out the recipe but they were all hand made just like the old days not like these mordern times were everything is made with machines.so what im trying to say is that i think it is way better to have a dad that was a baker than it is to have a dad thats a plumber or an electrician you know there is nothing better than a hot honey dipped donut in the morning. so to anyone that reads this story this is in memory of lori ann donut shop and hi to all thanks for the memories Brian K.Robinson.

You are so right about having a hot honey dipped donut first thing in the morning. You have some great memories and I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story about your Dad and the Lori Ann Donut Shop. Keep on baking...

I lived in Charlestown in the late 50's--worked at Schrafts (spelling) candy factory for 2 years--wish I had known about your dads donuts---I would have been a fan for sure

What wonderful memories you must have! There's nothing better than homemade donuts! They definitely are the best.

Brian, young people can afford to eat the extra calories because they are so active. I would love to be able to eat all of those doughnuts and muffins with no guilt. Who has to patent for the doughnuts now? Did you sell it with the doughnut shop?
