I received my Betty Crocker Cookbook in 1981 at my bridal shower....that cookbook has been through the mill and back again and is still my "go to" cookbook!!

I got my betty Crocker cook book yeara ago it fell apart took out the pages and put them is a notebook and marked it betrty's.
I don't like the new one either.

Betty Crocker cookbooks are among my prize possesions.
There is one from the early '50s and some later editions. My oldest one is my go-to reference but poor thing has to be re-assembled as I look for info.
There was a small Good & Easy cookbook dated 1953 tha was my salvation when I was hired to cook for two faculty members when I was in college. That book is also coming apart and stained but there is where I find what I need to know many times.
I collect cookbooks. The trick is to remember which book has the recipe for a particular goody I want to make.

hi everyone my betty crocker cookbook is old to i received it about 1957 its falling apart but i won't throw it out . i have a newer one but they left out of recipes but its still my best cook book

The recipes in the Betty Crocker books are so easy for new cooks that every new cook can learn the basics.

I don't collect cookbooks, but when you have one that works so well, you don't need so many. I just gather single recipes from other places if I like them. I liked the ide of a 3 ring binder with those plastic sleeves. That sounds so much more organized than me saving all these pages and scraps from newspaper and magazines. I have that on my list of things to work on. LOL

My Grandmother gave me mine in 1974 when I got married. Mine is tattered and very well used, too. I wouldn't part with it for anything. It really teaches how to cook. If you didn't know how to fry an egg, it shows you. A cookbook like that is hard to find.
