I received mine when I married in 1971. Mine is also filled with stains and notes galore, plus the binding is broken and pages are falling out. I have searched for years for a replacement of this edition because I prefer it over the newer editions. I have looked online, in bookstores, flea markets, etc. but have never come up with a copy. I guess everyone is like us and hanging onto their copy. lol

I got my first Betty Crocker Cookbook in 7th grade.  My Home Ec teacher bought them in bulk, and we were able to purchase them at a reduced price.  Mine is dated about 1950.  I couldn't find the exact date as the first few pages are missing.

I love my Betty Crocker Cookbook.  I  don't use it as much as some of the others but there are some recipes that I will not give up.  I have the cookbook that used to be my Mom's had a newer one but gave it away.  Someone thought that a newer one would be nice so they gave me one for Christmas one year.
I have a few other books like that, I just won't give them up.

I still have mine.  It came from my Mom.  I don't have any idea how old it is.

I am not sure what year mine is but I have had it rebound.  I just consider it my "go to" cookbook!

I have my Betty Crocker cookbook too from the 1970s.  From much use, the binding broke but hubby fixed it with duct tape.  Since this is my favorite of all the cookbooks I have, I would feel lost without it.  Like Verlee, I have looked for replacements without luck.  Guess good things are hard to part with.

I got my Betty Crocker cookbook shortly after we were married.  I still have it and would not part with it.  It has stains and notes, etc., but I use it for various recipes which have notes stuck in the various pages.  One of the days we were baking when one of my sons was little and helping me, liquid was spilled accidentally and the page dried, but it is all wrinkled, still legible though.  Every time I open the book and see that page I think of my son and the great times we had cooking and baking.  He now lives four hours away.

I love my Betty Crocker cookbook too! When I moved from MI to CA I sold it! Big mistake!
I miss it! Hubby got one for me but it is not the same. It is from the 80's. He goes to swap
meets and is always looking for an older one but no luck either. I still use mine as a go
to for info!

My favorite cookbook from Betty Crocker was the Cookie Cookbook which had so many great recipes. The first one had the cover torn off and many stains from the time my children, one girl and two boys would use them. They each loved that particular book that they all have a brand new copy of their own. I also have a new one too, since I travel between summer home and year round home. Many great memories.

Have you tried the Betty Crocker website? They also have a store that you can purchase books, etc.

I gave my Great Aunt Dean a Betty Crocker Cookbook a few years before she died.  She was so thrilled to have it.  She was a fabulous cook and shared so much of her knowledge w/me.  I was amazed that she didn't have one!

I received a Betty Crocker Cookie Cookbook when I graduatd high school in 1963.
I used it while rasing 3 children and now with 7 grandchildren. It is well used with notes
if they were good and who helped make them. I love to just look at it and remember
the good times cooking with all the helpers. I baby sit with children of friends of working
moms when my own were not in school and they always helped with the baking also. When
my own children were older I went back to work as a nurse. I always had time to bake
anyway.
