We found larger home in the country. We agreed to let our agent list our old home. He wrote the listing on the blackboard for the secretary to post and notify the rest of the agents so they could do a walk-through the following day. That evening I received a call while I was baking some Nestle's Toll House cookies; would I let an agent bring a potential buyer over right now before all the other agents came the next day? I said ok. All I had time to do was take the cookies out of the oven before they were at our doorstep. So
before our house could even be officially listed, it was sold. Thanks Nestle!

What a great story. Glad your house sold quickly. Bet they all loved the cookies. Nice and warm from the oven. Yummy

Love your story, I have heard that some  agents when having an open house will bake cookies. I guess it works!
Congrats!

Way to go!  The smell of cookies seems to be what does the trick.

What a wonderful story! It doesn't happen often. It took me 5 different people going to contract and then pulling out before I sold my house several years ago with the expense of me paying for each contract that the lawyer had to write up! How fortunate for you.

You were very lucky.  I just hope when my house goes on the market it will sell just as quickly.  If it takes cookies I will bake all night and day to get it sold!

That's something most real estate agents are taught, have your seller bake cookies or a cake to make the house smell homey.  And I suppose having something cooking in the crock pot all day wouldn't hurt either lol.
