Let's start a picture posting! I'm going to attempt to post one or two pictures here now. Who's going to join me and post some of your pictures?! Come on....this will be fun!! Just click on the little tree at the bottom of this post box and go from there. Just give it some time to load and get there because it's possible some of you also have a "turtle" for a computer like I do!!! LOL!!!
I love taking photos of our hummingbirds in the summer! They are so cute! Just takes patience at times to stand there and wait for them, but it is worth the wait!! They are surely God's busiest little birds!! I love 'em!!!

Oh Oh Oh  ---You did it Carol - you did it!!!
HUMMERS!!  I love those tiny things.  What great photos you have.
Where I lived before I made a big soup kettle of sugar water every day ...... I bought my sugar in 25 lb bags.
Here, far from a tree, I still get enough to keep me happy.

Thank you for the photos.

Yep, I did it, Nancy!! My persistence paid off! If at first you don't succeed...try, try again!! I did and it finally worked! Thanks! Glad you liked my photos! I'll try to post more here eventually. Wow! How many hummers did you have to make that much sugar water? We have three feeders we put out for them and I usually had to fill them every other day, sometimes every day. But they are busy little critters, aren't they!? I love watching them zip back and forth. I should say our cats out on our porch also enjoy watching them! It's funny watching the cats heads go back and forth as they try to watch the hummers zipping around!! Way too funny!!! Watching them, I sometimes wish I had that much energy!! LOL!! Oooh! I love your orioles picture! They are beautiful birds! Didn't see our pair of them much this summer though.

Sharon, Love your picture of Lightning! Posed nicely, didn't he?! I've got some great shots of our cats and kittens. Glad you figured out like me how to post pictures! Fun, huh?! Now maybe we can get some other VBB'ers to post theirs here, too!!

Wow! Love your photos, Ann! Thanks for sharing them!
We usually get anywhere from 4 to 8 hummingbirds during the summer. I remember back in the late 90's we had 12 of them here! Yes, they do move fast and it's difficult to get photos of them. I had to have a LOT of patience.....and a digital camera. I lean against the post on our porch right beside the feeder, with my finger pressing lightly on the button ready to snap when they appear. For every good photo I probably get at least 10 blurry ones that I have to delete. But I keep trying! And actually, these two photos were cropped to bring them in closer. I love taking pictures of the birds!

Okay...this is my second time trying to add this photo! Had the story behind it all typed up and then attached the picture. However, it was totally weird because when I tried to send it the "Add Post" tab was GONE!!! First time that's ever happened to me! Oh well, at least it is there now so hopefully I can add this!
These two large fawns were only about 12 to 15 feet away from me in the weeds along the side of the road! Their mama ran right by me as I stood there and don't think she even seen me! After she crossed, I noticed something moving in the weeds, but not in the area she was in. I gave a little whistle and two little heads popped up!! So cute!! They just stood there watching me, at times moving their heads back and forth. They posed nicely while I took a number of photos of them. Eventually, mama called and they took off behind her. I love watching and photographing the wildlife in our area!! Such fun!!

Wow!! Nancy, is that you....and how did you dare get that close to those little critters?! Smile What a neat photo you captured!
Just took this one this fall. This guy comes onto our front porch at night and eats any leftover cat food that is there! I just open the door a crack, aim, and shoot. Hard to get good photos because it is always pretty dark out when he is there. I try not to get him upset because I do not want him spraying the kitties out there! Smile

I was careful.

Thanks, Nancy, for sharing your absolutely terrific photos!!! Amazing!! I must say you are much braver than me to get that close to a skunk!! LOL!!! Looks like they were on their best behavior because they knew you were going to feed them!! Smile

Well, I wasn't ALWAYS careful .....................

This racoon's name was Sweet Baby and if I didn't get outside with food fast enough, he "beat" on a window.
I loved those little critters.

Wow! Nancy! Great photo of you feeding Sweet Baby!! I must say you are a lot braver than me! Your animals sure know they'd better be good or no food! LOL!!
This guy liked peeking in our French doors. If there was no food in the cat dishes, he would stand up and look in the doors! Funny!
