My Mom was always baking!  She loved to be in the kitchen, and she taught me everything I know about baking and cooking.  She has been gone 22 years now; but I have not forgotten what she taught me.  I love to bake and cook.  Most times, I bake lots of cookies, and share them with anyone who will take them!  I send them to meetings with my husband, and sometimes just deliver them to any neighbor who will take them!  Cooking is also a must in this family.  I have always tried to cook a decent dinner for my family, even now, when there is only my husband and I.  Our youngest is 46, and he and his family love to come for a visit, just to be surprised at what I will put on the table for dinner.  Of course, there is always something baked and on hand for the final course or a snack.

So nice that you have good memories of  and teachings from your mother.  I love to bake and cook, too.  I also like to share what I cook and bake.
