We had our family reunion in the Black Hills of South Dakota My job that year was to make the rice When cooking rice for 50 people being a challenge anyway. We got it cooked and started serving it up I dished some up with the stir fry vegetables and sat next to my cousin Dave I took and big mouth full and said the rice tasted terrible it wasn't cooked all the way and still crunchy. My cousin Dave said so who cooked it I laughed and said I DID

OOPS!  I hate crunchy rice.  But at least you had a sense of humor about it.  Or were you just kidding anyway?

Making rice for 50 people was a chore!  You certainly had to have a LARGE pot!

The plus side of the rice cooking was a delightful story to remember the occasion. Thanks for sharing.

Our daughter and son-in-law just returned from the Black Hills where they attended a motorcycle rally.  They've been there twice and love riding through the foothills.  Sorry, no rice was involved!

I don't normally make rice at my house; I'm the only that eats it so it's not worth the bother.

Rice and stir fry is an interesting menu for a wedding.

You could have said it was cooked that way by request of the bride and groom!!!

I always seem to have trouble cooking rice.  It seems that about half of it is always a little hard.  I'm glad it isn't just me.
