Recently, due to a foot injury, I was unable to be on my feet for very long at a time. My son volunteered to cook breakfast and our main meal for as long as needed. Then they both cleaned up the kitchen. The meals were delicious and gave me time to rest my foot. I am now able to resume my "duties." Did I say I am very blessed?

Yes you are blessed to have a son who helps out when he is needed and a good cook to boot. Glad to hear you are on your feet again. May God Bless you and yours.

Wow, great story! Not only were you able to recuperate, but your son probably learned some valuable lessons in the kitchen!

I can relate to that. My husband has MS and I recently had knee replacement surgery on my right knee. One of my sons lives about an hour away and took care of his father while I was in the hospital and rehab and took his father to all the dr. appmts. and when I came home did the same for me, including everything else that needed to be done. Our other son from Baltimore came for five days so that his brother could have a break and took us to all the appointments and did grocery shopping and cooking. I, too, am indeed blessed.

BTW I am from Raritan, NJ. I am trying to get the Nestle IT people to fix my location so that it will show where I am from. They told me to try something, which I did, but it did not work.

Aren't you glad that they both were able to cook and that you got some tasty meals? Kudos to them!

It's always good when your children can step up to the plate when you need them to. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and my oldest really did her part. Although I was unable to eat most of the time, she made sure that when I was able, I had whatever my taste buds dictated! On the other hand, my youngest tried to take advantage of my medicated state. Kids ... you gotta love them

I might add to the above that the other person in the story was my husband. Love these guys!

Great job by your son. You should be very proud that he stepped up to the plate in your time of need.
