Now that my youngest girls are in their teens, they're realizing how much time I spend in purchasing the right types of food to eat. My 16 yr old is now grabbing packages from me to check the ingredient listings and nutrition labels for herself. We also have a frigde stocked with mostly fruits and vegetables. It's nice to know they've learned well, and will continue when they move out.

My children are all grown now, but have 8 grandchildren ( 2 boys and 6 girls) and buy lots of fruit for them.

It is great that they learned to read the labels when they were young.  Sadly some people never check the ingredients before they buy something.  The things they put in seemingly healthy foods are awful.

Nice job mom! I remember the healthy habits my older sister taught me.......boy does it make a difference.
Too bad my DH never "got it", he is set in his ways.
Thanks for sharing
