When I was 10 or 11 years old she started teaching me how to back cookies and cakes even though I made some mistakes she just let me go on then would tell me hun you didn't add the sugar as I was reaching for the sugar I grabbed the salt instead and she says hunny stop and put your finger in jar and taste it before you put in the dry ingredients as I did what she said she started to giggle and I was like oops she told me to always make sure to make sure to grab what I need and to taste it to make sure its either salt or sugar, so I continued on without anymore mistakes and the cookies were a little lop sided it is a memory I will always charisse, To this day when I bake anything I think back to that day and giggle a little I miss her.
