I remember when Very Best Baking.com was a great website. If they get a Web Master older than 12, it could be good again.

I agree same 3 swapped recipes for almost 4 months now. I have read EVERY baking article twice. Yes the recipes change seasonally and you can look up new ones, but nothing new ever being offered or changed is ridiculous. The memories change because they obviously never read them, they just post automatically! I don't care about the points totals anymore half the time there is "error" on the memories so you don't get them anyway. I submitted 9 GREAT recipes this summer and its the same lame 3. Why bother, they don't care about us why should we care about them or their products...there are chocolate chips that are cheaper and Pillsbury has drop and bake cookies, maybe using other products will get their attention!!

The website is not the problem. It's the ABSENT PROGRAMMER that is. If they get someone who actually LOOKS at the site once in a while, they would see the discontent among their members. Until then.....

Do you know the latest thing that hasn't been changing? Baking Memories. This is the newest and it's from September 16! But, I'm having fun checking out what people have to say about this site.

I have had my problems and I like this website for information I need only. I too wish it was like how it used to be

And it only took 5 days to get a response to my tech problems. I wonder how many people really work on this site. 3?

Have had problems with the "Baking Memories" link for a long time. I agree, in bygone days, you could contact them and would immediately receive an appology and a points correction/addition. Now when you contact them, if you get a reply at all, it's a rediculous disclaimer of sorts that they are not responsible for your technical inadeqacies (wont credit your points, either)! Happened to luck upon a comment by Margie in the "Problems with Website" article below and she suggested double-clicking on the link. I tried it out of sheer frustration and low and behold, it ACTUALLY WORKED! That's a real surprise for a tech-savy guy like me. Go figure.

I still don't understand why we collect brownie points. What are they for? I have never seen anything explaining why I should want to collect as many as possible.
