I remember one time trying to make a baked gooc on my own and I forgot the tsp. of salt which the recipe called for. I presumed that it would not make that big of a difference but it did. The baked item was very bland. I found out very early in my baking career that everything is necessary in an item.

That is true Mary, I don't get too creative when baking; usually follow the recipe. Once I have made something many times is when I start feeling brave enough to modify the recipe.
