I can still remember the sweet days of my children's childhood. Them standing on the ktichen chairs to help stir the batter. And after it had been poured into the baking pan, they would lick the bowl.

I can still remember the sweet days of my children's childhood. Them standing on the ktichen chairs to help stir the batter. And after it had been poured into the baking pan, they would lick the bowl. My daughter would always get batter all over her bangs as she attempted to get every last drop. Now my daughter not only loves to bake, but she loves to cook.

I think we can all remember licking the bowl, spoon, or beaters.  I still like to do it.

If I'm doing a lot of baking, I usually get filled up from licking the spoon or beaters, and don't want to eat dinner. lol

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. You grow old by not playing, keep having fun in the kitchen!

My sons always licked the bowl, the spoon, the beaters.  I still like to do it  now that they are grown and gone.

Part of the fun of making anything is to be able to lick the beaters!

Great memory - we have all probably licked a bowl, spoon or a beater at one time or another.

I love licking the beater too!  Sometimes, my kids will fight over them.

I make mine using a package of cornbread mix..(I know, I know, I could make it myself...) but then I add a can of cream corn in place of the liquid called for, 1,2 or more diced jalapeno peppers, and a hand full of shredded cheddar cheese.  Pour it into muffin tins then top each one off with a little bit more cheese.
They get served with chili or Gumbo.
