i cook a lot of meals for the freezer sauce with meat balls for 6 meal s put in freezer bags . plain sauce for shrimp or someother seaford .

Yes, cooking can be fun. My daughter-in-law works part-time as a med tech at the local hospital and works the evening shift. On her work nights, my son keeps their three daughters entertained by baking cookies. Even the little one can now measure out some of the ingredients accurately. They look forward to baking with Daddy. Chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies top the list at their house.

For a friend, who loves icing more than the cake, I baked tiny cupcakes and loaded the top with butter cream icing. He was ecstatic!! But, now I suppose they will be number one on his list.

I'm trying out a new recipe for bean and barley soup tonight.

Of course I will have to "doctor" it a bit since it includes no meat. Can't have my carnivore husband eating that! LOL

Maybe if it turns out well I can post it here.

I taught HOME ECONOMICS as a volunteer( Mental health rehab progran)..... I called my class "JOY of COOKING".My students, some DEPRESSED,ohers S DRUG/ALCOHOL ABUSERS feared the class was just anotheroportunity for faiure :I told them
that "as long as you try you have a good chance to succeed; that It's my job to see that they do succeed & I don'tlike failing either, We worked together to succeed actually had fun learning new skills & BEING EMPOWERED TO DO WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY FEARED!
I take pridethat most if not allof my students enjoyed learning how to to & continue to enjoy cooking
