My Grandma's Pumpkin Pie
(3) 1 ½ cups pumpkin
(3) 1 ½ cups milk
(1 1/3) 2/3 cup brown sugar
(4) 2 eggs
(3) 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
(1/2) ¼ teaspoon ginger
(1) ½ teaspoon nutmeg
(1/4) 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
(2) 1 teaspoon salt
(4) 2 Tablespoons melted butter
Mix pumpkin with milk. Combine dry spices with brown sugar. Beat eggs lightly and add to sugar mixture. Add egg and sugar mixture to pumpkin. Just before pouring pie filling into pie shell(s) add melted butter to pumpkin mixture and stir well.
9 inch pie shell(s)
Bake:
400 degrees for 15 minutes
Turn oven down to
375 degrees for 45 minutes
