What if any Easter Traditions do you have and pass on?

Growing up we did not believe in the Easter Bunny so after we were asleep my parents would fix our Easter Baskets and place them at the foot of our beds. When we awoke the next morning we would see the beautiful baskets.

Truth be told sometimes we heard them come in and affter they left my sister and I would each take a piece of candy and go back to sleep.

After I had my own child I did this for her. I think she also took a piece after I left the room.

We went to a church that frowned on Easter (and Christmas) traditions or celebrations.  So she made us new skirts from the usual feed bag calico which we wore for the first time the Sunday before Easter.
When we wore the skirts the following week - Easter - they were not new.

On Easter morning we always had new dresses, shoes, and coat that we wore to church. All
four of us girls and our Mom. Dad also bought us corsages. Mom would have 3 carnations and
we would have 1 carnation. Lots of times the next Sunday we would be wearing our winter
clothes again. Even if it was snowing on Easter we would be wearing our new spring clothes.
This was in Michigan so it always seemed like we would have to go back to winter colthes.
We would just get 1 choc. Easter egg.

New Easter garb was a tradition, along with special pies and visiting with relatives.

I used to make Easter bunny baskets out of empty clean Clorox jugs for my children when they were young..

I remember getting a new Easter dress every year to wear to Sunday School.  We would have an egg hunt after church in our back yard.  I especially remember having black patent Mary Janes to wear with my new dress!   I always dressed my children up for Easter too.
