So, it was my sister's first attempt at organizing a Christmas cookie exchange at her house. She sent out invitations to friends asking them to bake a dozen cookies per person that would be attending (final count to be determined later). I thought I'd bring out my childhood favorite cookie recipe "Potato Chip" cookies. There's just something special I remember about the sweet and salty combination![p] As it turns out 20 ladies agreed to come. And with only 3 days notice to prepare I realized I should've started baking some daily batches. Well, under pressure, and holiday time constraints, it was no time to try a recipe from 20 years ago! I ran out of time after my first night attempts didn't turn out! It was a mad rush with my daughters and I making holiday "rice krispy" treats instead at the last minute! I suggest keep cookie exchange guests to a chosen few and better yet...maybe 3-6 cookies to exchange per person!! Save your guests the stress!
