Christmas Cookie Chaos

My daughter and I decided we wanted to make some Christmas cookies for her to give to her friends for Christmas. We decided to make traditional decorated sugar cookes, the kind you roll out and cut into patterns and decorate. She invited a friend over to help. Since they were so young, they would help with the batter, I would roll and cut and they would do ALL the decorating. So all went well until the decorating began...they colored their own frosting with way too much food coloring, which gave green, blue, and yellow a whole new meaning. We had sprinkles, sparkles, and splotches of crazy color all over the kitchen (including the walls). The results were purple Santas with every color sprinkle you can image, baby-poo green reindeer, and psycodelic tie dyed angels. Her friends loved the cookes, they looked a bit crazy but tasted wonderful and it only took 2 days to clean up the mess.

What a wonderful memory!   I am glad I didn't have to deal with the clean up, but I would have loved to see the cookies. Laughing

Renee -- that post is dated 8-13-2008 because that's when Lu G added it to the Nestle's community site.  At least a couple ancient postings appear every day.
That is the one and only time Lu G ever posted here.

Nancy, I have wondered the same thing as you, whether folks post once or twice and do they return? On the old site, I used to read postings but rarely contributed. For some reason, this new site finds me going to it and posting nearly every day. Maybe it's more user-friendly?
