The holidays are especially hard for my husband and I since losing our twin daughters 5 1/2months into our pregnancy in 2007. My grandma holds her family christmas about 2 weeks prior to the holiday and in 2008 my then 3 1/2 yr old nephew was staying the weekend with us. He wanted to make a special dessert to take the following day with us to grandma's. So he and I went out and bought a large snowman cookie pan, and together we made a giant snowman cookie. He was super excited that he got to decorate the whole thing by himself. Of course it looked nothing like a traditional white fluffy snowman, but to him it looked just as it should. For everyone who delved into it, there was a sugar high to be had. But together he and I made a great memory to last a lifetime. And he helped make the holidays just a little bit easier for this mommy missing her little angels.

In the midst of your heartbreak it's heartwarming that you found time to create a special memory with that of your nephew! I'm sure your two that your two little angels that didn't get to make their entrance where smiling down on you at that moment. My mom lost a child during child birth but I know that my baby brother isn't really lost to us, he's still very much a part of our family and I know that I'll get to see and be with him again after the curtain close of this life. So don't lose heart, your angel's will always be your angels in he eternities provided you live worthily of that blessing just like that of my baby brother whom I never got to see in this life.
